I used to work in West Ealing way back in the 60's. Our family lived not far away from you, in Colebrooke Avenue.
The most exotic food available then was a single Chinese restaurant, the rest were "greasy spoons".
You had to go to Ealing Broadway for an Indian or a kebab!. Exotica indeed.
