Migliaccio was born in Naples, Italy in 1882. He immigrated to the United States arriving at Ellis Island, New York on September 22, 1902. Five years later he married and working as a musician and composer.
By the early 1920s he was successfully working as a musician and led a band at the Peek-Inn in New York. By 1926 he was leading the orchestra at Queensland in Brooklyn, New York. During this period he began recording for Edison with his Queensland Orchestra, recording some thirty sides from 1926 to 1929.
By 1930 he was living in Bellaire, New York in a house he had purchased. He died in 1973."
Les années folles du cubisme- i love it!!!
Thanks for the info above.
Hi, Dodo....They seem to dance with more fluidity than that famous cubist dancer Vaslav Nijinsky. Have you seen the youtube fake of Nijinsky dancing "L'Apres midi d'un faune"?...Apparently the maker even conned the dance critic of the New York Time!
Thanks for this, Oscar- very interesting. There is also an interview by the videomaker Christian Comte on youtube- he started as a sculptor.
