Este es uno de los duelos musicales mas extraordinarios que hayan sido llevados al disco... Los contendientes: Sydney Bechet (en saxo soprano) y Louis "Pops" Daniel Armstrong (en corneta)...Después de resolver los necesarios prolegómenos de desarrollar el tema y acompañar a la cantante, Pops y Bechet se encuentran frente a frente en el medio del ring. Bechet derrama la primera sangre con unas inspiradísimas líneas de contrapunto tras la corneta de Louis y creyendo haber dejado a Armstrong groggy se retira hacia atrás. Pops se adelanta y toca un solo espectacular como si su vida dependiese de ello. Sorprendido, Bechet trata de entrar en la lucha nuevamente tocando fuerte atrás del solo de Pops quien, sin amilanarse, toma un segundo coro que deja a Bechet tambaleante y cayendo a la lona por la cuenta final... Armstrong gana por K.O.
Va adjunta una pequeña fotito de los "dramatis personae" (entre paréntesis, la eficiente cantante es la diminuta Eva Taylor).

This is one of the most astounding musical duels ever recorded... The contenders: Sydney Bechet (Soprano Sax) and Louis "Pops" Armstrong (Cornet)... After the early melodic and singing proceedings, Pops and Bechet meet in the middle of the ring. Bechet draws the first blood with some breathtaking sax contrapunctual lines and believing that Armstrong is groggy moves back then Pop plays a chorus like if his life depended of it, surprised, Bechet tries to hit back playing loud around Pops solo, Pops takes a second chorus and knocks him down for the count. Just marvellous !!!
