Pero lo que cuenta aquí es la dramática incertidumbre que corroe el alma inocente de la señorita del cabello escarlata: "¿me hago desflorar por el atorrante este o por el moro de Portobello Road del dibujo de abajo?"

Es su equilibrio psíquico lo que está en juego.
